  • 3 Nice location but still expensive

    Stayed here for 2 nights recently. Nice looking hotel in village location, however there is a busy road slap bang in the middle, making it very noisy (especially in the mornings). However, on hot nights you have to have the windows open so you have no choice really. Very nice room with 4 poster bed, however the bathroom was a disappointment, with a slow water supply (running a bath took about 15 mins) and a less than generous supply of shampoo/shower gel 'sachets' that weren't replaced for day two. Had a meal in the restaurant, and to their credit the service and food was excellent. Overall, it was an expensive stay with all these things considered (especially as we found lots of alternatives in neighbouring villages that were around £20 per head cheaper per night).
